Terms that are generally popular, important, or foundational in understanding queer and LGBT concepts. Terms here are typically significant either historically, medically, socially, or culturally. Examples of terms that would go in this category:
- cishet (has historical and social significance, and is often used in articles that compare queer and non-queer communities and concepts)
- split attraction model (a concept that many other attraction terms are built upon)
- wolffian (a term used as an alternative to existing medical terminology and is mentioned frequently in body sex terms)
Terms that would NOT go in this category:
- omnisexual (is popular but is not required to be able to understand most queer and LGBT concepts)
- bigender (is popular but is not required to be able to understand most queer and LGBT concepts)
