The letter T in the LGBT+ acronym (sometimes called LGBTTT+)citation needed as an independent term groups any trans* identities, such as transvestic, transsex and transgender, with any other queer identity starting with T, such as trigender, travesti, two-spirit, and third-gender.
The letter may be especially important for transemphatic individuals.
History
The term was conceptualized by arco-pluris via Tumblr on April 9, 2019. The flag was created and shared within the same blog post.[1]
