Floric is an orientation characterized by being a Non Woman attracted to Non Women. The attraction is not exclusive and includes anyone who is:
- A Gay man
- Non-Binary individuals of any alignment as long as they are Non-Woman in some way
- Non Women who prioritize their attraction to Non Women
- And those who use other mlm, nblm, nblnb and mlnb identities
The Non-Men counterpart is Faunic.
History
Floric was coined on July 31, 2019 by variant-archive on Tumblr.[1] The flag was created the same day, the colors are respresented as:
“Jade green: peace and serenity
Spring green: community and support
Aquamarine: independence and freedom
White: non-cis, non-perisex, and gender non-conforming florics
Moonstone: art and magic (from the rainbow flag)
Verdigris: love and trust
Lapis: attraction and intimacy”
An alternate flag was created by thepokedexisgay on Tumblr on August 29th, 2020. Its colors were derived from hyacinths as a nod to the myth of Hyacinth/Hyakinthos and Apollo. However, aside from the white stripe representing non-cis, non-perisex, and gender non-conforming florics, there is believed to be no other meaning beside the white stripe, the coiner left the colors up to interpretation.[2]
A newer version of the term has been coined by Redtail on May 29th 2024, due to ‘non-man’ or ‘non-woman’ being used to misgender black individuals and has been used in a racist light.[3]

Etymology
The term Floric comes from the Italian region of Florence, where Leonardo Da Vinci was born[4]. The term Vincian also comes from Da Vinci’s name.[5]
