Keep (orientation)
Keep is an orientation prefix describing the experience of losing all attraction and interest when rejected.[1]
One may gain feelings for another at any pace, but as soon as the feelings are rejected, all interest previously felt disappears. One may lose feelings once a small piece of unreciprocated feelings is shown or implied by the other individual(s). The attraction can also disappear if one feels that the other is not reciprocating, regardless of whether that is confirmed true or not by the source of attraction. The lack of reciprocated interest required to lose attraction can be any amount, including small hints or occasional occurrences of disinterest or rejection.[1]
The keep orientation is often caused by trauma, but does not have to be.
History
The term keepromantic was coined on January 6, 2021 by FANDOM user Dxxnkichu through the page on the LGBTA Wiki.[1] It has no outside sources.

The keepromantic flag was made by wiki user Starbarrow110 on the 9th of January, 2021. The green represents romantic attraction, grey and white represents a lack of romantic attraction, pink represents the change in romantic attraction, and purple represents the lack of reciprocation.[2]
