Recipro (orientation) is a prefix referring to those who do not experience a specific type of attraction unless one knows that another individual is attracted to them first.
The prefix likely comes from the word reciprocate meaning to give something else in response or reciprocal meaning to express mutual action.

History
The term was coined by now deactivated Tumblr user cameoes/knuxouge on an unknown date the original coining post is lost, however the term is known to have existed since at least June 2014.[1][4]
The flags for Reciprosexual and Recipromantic were created by an unknown individual, but have been in usage since at least May 2016.[1][5][6]
