Hypergender refers to individuals who feel their gender beyond a normal intensity or amount for their identity, considering themselves more than 100% of their gender.[1]
History
Hypergender was coined by an unknown individual on an unknown date, but has been mentioned in numerous blogs.[1]
The term is criticised by some as non-queer, and a possible invasion of queer spaces by cisgender individuals. This is due to the lack of oppression or phobia that a hypergender might receive, specifically for those that identify solely as cisgender (such as a cisgender AFAB hypergirl).[2]
