Auspisic or Ashen Attraction is a form of attraction founded on a desire to help two other individuals maintain a healthy relationship + prevent them from developing a toxic or otherwise unhealthy dynamic. Ashen gestures towards others in the relationship could include breaking up / preventing fights and helping to defuse feelings of anger.
History
The term was originally posted on Tumblr on May 5, 2020 by mx-eridan, though the quadrant system from which the term originates comes from the popular webcomic Homestuck. [1]
The term is a portmanteau of the words "auspicious" (fortunate) and "armistice" (truce). [2]
