Apothi (orientation)
Apothi is an orientation prefix to describe an interaction repulsed individual, the prefix apothi meaning repulsed in Greek.[1][2] For example, an apothisexual individual may experience repulsion when personally engaging in or around sexual activities, including participating in sex, watching sex, or thinking of sex.
History
Apothi was first mentioned by Tumblr blog mogai-lexicon, on the 23rd of April, 2015. It originally implied that one can be apothi regardless of one being aspec, allo, or in between.[3] Since then, its definition is more commonly known as an individual who both lacks attraction and experiences interaction repulsion, for example: an individual who is both asexual (lacking sexual attraction) and sex-repulsed.[4][5][6]
