Sex Stances
Sex Stances are terms that describe an individual's feelings towards sexual interaction. This includes feeling towards sex, towards other sexual activities, or sexual interaction as a concept.
These terms are commonly used by individuals on the asexual spectrum, but are not exclusive to the community.
History
These terms have existed within the asexual community for many years with no clear first coining. The terms were re-coined for the purpose of providing a concrete source by AnonymousHermitCrab on the r/asexuality subreddit on April 27, 2022.[1]

†These flags are taken from source as is, despite the symbolism appearing incorrect. It is unclear whether the flag designations are a mistake or purposeful.
Flags & Symbols
The original sex-averse flag was the same as the sex-repulsed flag.[14]
Two alternate flags were created on March 19, 2021 by FANDOM user Cilantrouble.[15] One features a single tilde, showing similarity to sex-ambivalent. It can also be interpreted as a mix of the repulsion and ambivalent flags. The other features a circled dash, a special defined operation similar to subtraction representing the similarity to sex-repulsion. It can also be interpreted as being mixed of the repulsion and indifferent flags.
An additional set of alternative flags was created on February 9, 2023 by Tumblr user chaoscoining.[6] This included a flag for sex-drained featuring two carats pointing up, one above the other, as its symbol. It also included a flag for sex-piqued with the same symbol upside down.
